We Rock the Spectrum – Portland is a specialized indoor sensory gym designed to provide a safe, nurturing, and fun environment for children of all abilities. The facility features unique sensory equipment designed to aid kids with sensory processing disorders, autism, and developmental delays, though it welcomes all children. The gym’s specialized equipment includes zip lines, trampolines, climbing structures, and suspension swings that help develop motor skills, balance, and core strength while keeping kids engaged.
In addition to the main gym floor, the venue includes a dedicated quiet room/decompressing area where children who experience sensory overload can take a break and calm down. Sensory kits containing noise-canceling headphones, weighted lap pads, and fidget toys are also readily available upon request. The staff are fully trained in autism awareness and sensory support, helping to ensure a welcoming experience for families who often struggle in traditional play spaces.
Open play sessions are scheduled throughout the week, alongside specialized classes and private birthday parties. Families are encouraged to call ahead or check the online calendar to verify open gym hours. Grip socks are required for all children using the play equipment, and visual schedules can be provided to help children transition between activities.
Open play is available daily, but it's recommended to check their calendar or call ahead as they occasionally close for private birthday parties. Grip socks are required for all children.
